I. Introduction:

So now you are in second class! Congratulations! If you are going to never tank and always have others level you up, you can skip Section II and go straight to Section III on Level 120 EQ, otherwise you should update your equipment at least every twenty levels and your weapon as often as possible. The equipment with one star are ones easily obtainable by a higher classer so you should ask your clannies nicely for them to get it for you if possible. Equipment that are underlined are things I think is part of your level 120 equipment list you should get as you go along. I noted the full stat values for important pieces of items in each set. Remember, you can wear items five levels above you.

III. Level 120 Equipment:

When thinking about putting together an equipment list, for convenience get a set which will have the spells ?€?sense life,?€™ ?€?detect invisibility,?€™ ?€?haste,?€™ ?€?sanctuary,?€™ ?€?improved invisibility?€™ and ?€?pass door.?€™ You might want to switch equipment around according to your need (example: druid cloak in general and rat king?€™s cloak for combat). Most standard equipment for 120s are not obtainable by a second classer so the bazaar is your friend. All equipment in the Level 60 guide can still be used but only if the second class suggestions are too expensive for you.

V. Second Class Spellbooks

For many, second class is the first class you have any spellbooks used for holding spells. I will list some of the most popular spellbooks available to second class. My suggestions for a heavy spellbook user is to buy a focault, a violet and as many arcanes as it takes but not to buy an octarine spellbook. The other quest spellbook, the black spellbook, will be available for you in third class. I don?€™t suggest putting any expensive spells into your Necronomicon if you have one because it frags.

c) Bard

Aside from different attribute bonuses, all the instruments are pretty much the same except for ornate jack in the box, o/s flute, violin, and viola. The four exceptions can play slow at relatively low %s. Most bards I have talked to suggest saving the quest points until level 180 to get the violin since it cannot be CPKed. Some instruments with useful attribute bonuses are listed below.

VII. Second class items to hold

Most second classers hold either their spellbook from which to cast or their musical instrument with which to play. However, in the event that you are a second classer who does not have to hold a spellbook or an instrument (psionics and druids for example,) this section is for you.

For all: When leveling, it is best to first max your primary stat, wisdom, then vitality if you are a fighter or thief, and knowledge if you are a spell-caster. Then if you can, up your agility and luck as much as possible. Some good hand-held items are listed below. Other good items to hold are musical instruments whether or not you can use them to play music.
