Officially Bemused # - - (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> - - - - An inconspicuous yet serviceable enclosure situates itself in the southeast corner of this secondary floor in the hall. It depends on the adjacent conference room for most of its lighting, a solid door of clear blurring material closing it off. Thick padding engulfs the four walls, insulating from all noise and somewhat reminiscent of New Rigel's psychology ward. Functioning as both asylum and sanctuary, this is one of the leaders' chambers. In perfect silence, you note other paradoxes. Intricate, colorful mosaics adorn the rectangular area of ground and the domed ceiling, the walls of padding gradually sloping to connect the opposing forms. Missing tiles in the floor design reveal specks of light while a few ferns and compact mosses poke down unobtrusively from the ceiling. The furnishings are sparse. A moderate bookcase holds logbooks, reprints of foreign artwork, some reference volumes, and literary titles. Folders of parchment are filed on a neat desk. White feather-plumed pen, a set of calligraphy brushes, and an inkwell rest on its flat top as well. Obscuring full view of what looks like a puzzle box with a classic chessboard as one of its sides, the only other object is an oversized chair facing away from you. Perhaps the leader is in after all.
