Guide of the Proving Grounds
Leaving PG
Once you are finished with the Proving grounds you have several options for leaving. Since you can only quit and save on the uppermost level you must find a new way out, options include:
- losing link
- death by mob
- death by prayer
- walking out
Death is a common, unintentional, way of leaving. If you die inside the proving grounds you will respawn in the Temple of the Mad Overlord inside Lord Bloodbane's Castle. Note that pray death yields a longer death timer than usual.
Losing link is never suggested in Materia Magica but if your connection does fail you, you will respawn in the temple of the Mad overlord just as though you had died.
Walking out is the least common method because of the time and effort involved, as well as the aspect of facing the moat twice. Because of this the path out of the proving grounds is not as clear as the one entering. Though once you get to the top level of PG you can recall to a home.
Once you reach the Temple west and north should be a Statue of the Mad overlord himself. for a quick exit from the isle enter the statue and head south. The exit from the reef should be south of the docks.
