Temple of Maradas

The Maradas Temple is warm and earthy. Your bare feet press against cool clay and mud beneath you as you step towards the altar.

Your feet uncover the mud turning to cool stone, carved from the rock beneath. You see quiet gnomes in dark black robes silently passing you as they tend to the needs of the temple. Some of them are crouched against elegant stone pillars, working with their hands and crafting handiwork from the tools of the earth around them.

Where the altar should be you see a large stone basin dug into the earth. An endless pool of mud bubbles from below. Passerbys scrawl words onto flat stones, whisper prays, and toss the stones into the ever hungry, ever beckoning pool of mud.
